The founder's story
A turning point.
A new beginning.
When a merger brought his position to an end, Gus was offered a severance package. Married with two children, he faced a decision about what came next. He chose to take a risk and put his industry experience to work for himself.
On November 9, 2012, he started Crist Container Consultants and Sales. Gus began reaching out to his industry contacts and selling containers, turning the relationships he had built over his career into the foundation of his own business.
The company has grown since those early days, expanding the possibilities for how containers can be used. Gus remains proud of the work and of the opportunity to give existing containers a new purpose.

For Gus, a container represents more than storage space. Repurposing an existing container keeps it in use, whether it becomes practical storage, an outdoor bar or a custom home build. That opportunity to take part in a green initiative is an important part of why he does this work.
